Dear rosi

It isn't even the end of January but here at BlogPiG we've got our first product of the year out the door - with a 50% discount* to you, our members.

CloakPiG is an Auto Link Cloaker for WordPress.

CloakPiG will instantly cloak any external link in any published post within seconds of installation and then, with no intervention from you whatsoever, automatically cloaks any links you ever post in the future.   Your precious affiliate commissions are protected instantly and forever.

You honestly don't have to lift a finger ever again to cloak your links once this PiG is installed.  Simple as that, really.

Oooh, but aren't you itching to do at least a little bit of tweaking to your link cloaking?  Well, CloakPiG’s advanced features do allow you to:

  • Pre-load cookies to make commission hijacking totally impossible
  • Manually or automatically customise cloaked links to include keywords
  • Use domain white listing or custom tags to exclude/include links from cloaking
  • Track clicks and so performance of your links

But only if you want to.  If you really do just want to get on with other things while CloakPiG does its job, you can.  CloakPiG won't mind in the slightest.  'Passive' really is its middle name.

Now we're offering this product with a lifetime license instead of a yearly license to help enhance its 'set and forget' nature.

And, as you're such lovely and loyal members, we'll even offer CloakPiG to you for a 50% discount if you buy before Monday 31st January.  So, that’s:

$5 for the trial and $23.50 for a lifetime license

You can read more about the product here but don’t forget to buy through this exclusive member link to get the discounted price.

As ever, if you have any feedback about this product or this email, please drop us a line!

Warmest regards,
Fiona

P.S. Remember that the beauty of CloakPiG is that it really does save hours of work by automatically cloaking any new links.  You really can promote as many new products or vendors as you like in your posts  and the links will be cloaked without you having to do a thing.

*Discount is available until Monday 31st January (midnight GMT).  Discount only applies to CloakPiG.  All other products are excluded.

Get New Sites Indexed in 2 Hours

Dear rosi

Get New Sites Indexed in 2 Hours

Firstly an apology. We had a server burp on Sunday night and the kind folks at our hosting company had to disable the license checker script to keep the website up. We didn’t find out for a few hours so some of you woke up to ‘invalid license’ warnings in your plugins. This is all now fixed but the plugins only check the license automatically once every 24 hours so if you don’t want to wait you’ll just need to force a recheck by hitting the save button next to your key in the plugin UI. Sorry about that we’ve rolling out a fail-over license checker shortly.

On Friday I mentioned a fantastic new book I recently read – The Ultimate Link Building Dossier by Duncan Carver.

Amongst the many fabulous backlinking tips in this 200 page tome was this little gem:

“More often than not, simply installing Google Analytics on your website will ensure Google pays a visit within a matter of hours…”

I didn’t mention this on Friday as I hadn’t tried it out yet.

Now I have and it works!

1. Registered a brand new domain with NameCheap

2. Installed WP with some sample posts from CSVPiG

3. Added Google Analytics to my theme

4. Googlebot arrived 3 hours later

(Unfortunately I didn’t run a control domain without analytics on in tandem so I can’t swear it was analytics that brought Google by so quickly but I’m very, very confident that was it.)

Anyway, I thought I’d share that one with you, let me know in the comments if you have any questions or any other similar ideas.

You can read about this and get 200 more pages of Total Backlinking Mastery in Duncan’s new book here.

Or read my original book review here.

I stand by this quote from Friday’s review “It really is very, very good stuff. If there is only one product you're going to buy this year then please make it this one.”

Talk soon.

Gary

ps. If you’ve picked it up already it’s awesome right? Let’s swap some notes in the comments section.

I’ve Just Read The Backlink Bible

Dear rosi

I've Just Read The Backlink Bible

If you’ve been a member of BlogPiG for a while you’ll know I very rarely send out product reviews.

In fact this is only the 2nd time (I think) that I’ve mentioned a product outside of the BlogPiG stables. (I know PiGs shouldn’t live in stables!)

The main reason for this is simply because most products out there suck so why would I recommend them to you?

But there are exceptions and this is certainly one of those rare exceptions.

I’ve just finished reading an amazing ebook called the Ultimate Link Building Dossier from Duncan Carver.

Read more and buy the book here.

I know Duncan from way back, we were both members of a private IM forum called “Nothing Held Back” which did what it said on the tin (it’s now closed).

Duncan quickly established himself as one of the leading lights in link building community and he has gone from strength to strength ever since.

In his Link Building Dossier Duncan brings together over 10 years of accumulated link building knowledge into one simple guide.

This 200 page book encapsulated almost everything I know and use about link building and added a lot more besides.

Here are a few of the highlights:

  • Why 95% of your working day should be spent building links or generating traffic
  • Why on-page SEO is all but irrelevant
  • How to market every article or post you’ve ever written to 30+ VIDEO sites
  • Why you need to automate to succees in the numbers game
  • Proof that you cannot get too many links too quickly
  • Why directory submission isn’t dead
  • How to market in forums without posting
  • Why EVERY backlink is good link but some are a LOT better than others

It really is very, very good stuff. If there is only one product you’re going to buy this year then please make it this one.

I really mean that and I’m probably going to regret saying this next bit…

Even if you’re already saving up to buy one of MY products, STOP. Use that money to buy this guide instead. You will never get more bang for your buck…

  • Part 1 covers the link building fundamentals, it will be a real eye opener for some of you, it was for me and I’ve been in this game for +10 years.
  • Part 2 covers the link building techniques themselves, it’s ALL in here, nothing is missed.
  • Part 3 helps you build your new found knowledge into a workable strategy for your sites.

It’s really nice to finally read a guide from someone who agrees with the advice I’ve been handing out on a regular basis to the BlogPiG members I’ve chatted to.

You need to “stop sweating the small stuff!”

By which I mean themes, layouts, colours, merchant selection, meta, keyword density etc.

Just get a site up of sufficient quality as quickly as possible. Now focus on getting traffic to this site above everything else.

This of course means getting backlinks.

Feel free to build another site quickly and efficiently in another niche and focus on getting links to that too. Repeat as often as possible until you reach maximum capacity.

I strongly believe that getting traffic i.e. backlinks should be 80-90% of your time, with the remainder spend on site building, on page SEO, design, content etc.

This is completely the opposite to how most people do it and how I used to do it. Duncan goes a step further and advises you spend 95% of your time on backlinks! I won’t disagree.

The trouble with tweaking on-site stuff at the start of a project is that you have no idea what works. You’re flying blind as there is no (or not enough) traffic to get real feedback on your tweak’s effectiveness.

Once you get a site (or network) to a few hundred visitors you can then begin to make changes, try new themes, layouts, different sponsors etc. and you will know if the change is beneficial as the raw data (CTR) will tell you.

This is also why I have designed the BlogPiG products to be very quick and efficient to use.

My plugins help you quickly and efficiently get a site up and running by leveraging – datafeeds, tag analysis, 3rd party comments etc. They are all as close too being completely automated as possible leaving you as much time as you need to go and get new backlinks.

We’ve not focused our plugins on automating the backlink process so far. This book has changed that.

I’m pleases to say our first backlink automation plugin (SocialPiG) is currently in beta testing and the next wave of plugins released by BlogPiG will now ALL be backlink focused.

In the meantime please read Duncan’s Ultimate Link Building Guide and please spend your time (and your money) where it matters most.

Click here to read more reviews

Build fast, build lots, get backlinks, get more backlinks, tweak, repeat, automate, outsource, retire…

Sounds simple? It really can be…

All the best and have a great weekend.

Gary

Buying an IM Product? First Ask Yourself These 10 Questions!

Email not displaying correctly? View it in your browser.
BlogPiG
Dear rosi

Buying an IM Product? First Ask Yourself These 10 Questions!

This is the first post of the year at BlogPiG.com and I hope it finds you very well indeed.

As we all plan and dream for 2011, many of us will consider buying solutions which promise to help us achieve our aims.

Someone in this very position posted this question on a large Internet Marketing forum earlier today:

Do you believe in software making $xx,xxx a month?

This person was fed up with responding to claims such as this by handing over his credit card, only to be disappointed when the product didn’t deliver. I won’t bang on about the morals of this situation here, we all know this selling tactic is used in IM.

Anyway, this question prompted me to say as part of my response:

“People need to realise that claims of vast wealth are not what should influence their purchase decision when considering a product.”

But the promise of earning five figures a month is pretty compelling, right? And if you don’t use the claimed earning potential to assess if the product is right for you, what should you consider?

A lot of you will have learnt this lesson already but I thought I’d share, as humbly as I can, my suggested approach to any purchase of any info product, piece of software or money-making-system on the web.

First of all I would recommend you keep this in mind:

Any software, or indeed info product or system you ever buy should be treated by you as a tool in your toolbox, not as the Holy Grail.

Other tools you will have to rely on are:

  • Knowledge: the information you accumulate on your journey through IM
  • Yourself: your drive, your common sense, your application of knowledge, your action

You need to be up front with yourself about your level of knowledge and you need to be realistic about how much action you can or will take.

Then decide what your next step is within IM. Is it to learn more? Is it to build ten sites? Is it to earn your first $1 or to reach your next $5000? Is it to begin outsourcing or automating more of your work?

Commit to your next step. This next step is now your goal (not earning ‘$63,757′ this month or whatever other random figure someone has planted in your head).

Research your goal and see if you can achieve it without buying a product – I know, a left-field concept from someone who, er, makes and sells products. But really, ask yourself: Have I now got enough knowledge and time to achieve this goal purely through free resources and my own action?

Sometimes the answer will be a pleasantly surprising,’yes!’ In some cases the answer will be no, because your time is just too limited – not enough time to learn more, not enough time to do more. If this is the case, then you can start looking for a product to help you, but you’ll be doing it with more knowledge under your belt.

You’ll also be in control now – you are seeking a product to meet your needs; you are not having a product thrust upon you by someone who knows nothing about your needs, your knowledge level or your ability to take action.

So, you’ve driven your own road to a product you think you need in your tool box. Now, before you hand over your precious cash, here are the top ten questions I’d recommend you ask yourself:

1. Am I clear about what I need the product to do for me?

2. Have I found out about this product through a trusted source e.g. a satisfied customer, a colleague or someone I’ve had positive dealings with before?

3. Do I understand what this product actually does (not the $ it claims it will earn me) e.g. it generates content for my website?

4. Do I understand the non-monetary results I can expect from this product (not the $ it claims to deliver)? e.g. 100 articles per week will be posted to my site

5. Do I understand how much of my time this product will require to get the advertised results?

6. Do I understand who this product is aimed at – novice, intermediate or advanced IMers – and is that person me?

7. Am I confident this product will help me meet my current goal, or am I just hoping it will?

8. Can I afford to do without the money this product will cost me, without going into debt?

9. Do I fully understand the refund policy of this product?

10. Do I honestly have the time to dedicate to this product within the refund period?

Happy with your answers to those questions? Splendid! Then you’ll know to do one of two things; walk away (this will be the most common conclusion you come to) or buy that product and use it immediately!

Do you have any other questions you ask yourself before you buy something?

Do you ever ask a vendor pre-sales questions?

Would you dispute any of the above questions, or agree emphatically with any?

I hope this post helps some people either to make a more informed purchase or to avoid a wasted purchase. Look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Kind regards,

Fiona
